Weapons, drugs seized after Wednesday morning coffee shop complaint in Sahali: RCMP

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP seized weapons and suspected drugs after a complaint from a Sahali coffee shop Wednesday morning (July 10).

In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the complaint came in at about 7:00 a.m. from a location in the 900-block of Columbia Street West.

A witness reported a man dropping what appeared to be a handgun.

Responding officers found three suspects shortly thereafter.

“One of the men, who was known to police, was located in possession of a pellet gun, knife, and more than 170 grams of suspected illegal drugs, which were seized,” said Evelyn.

The suspect was taken to RCMP cells.
