KAMLOOPS — Kamloops seniors will need to wait two more months before eating, dancing and singing with one another at Riverside Park.
In a news release issued Wednesday (July 10) morning, the City of Kamloops says the annual Seniors Picnic has been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The annual event for residents 55 years old and over was set to take place Friday (July 12) but the city says the postponement is due to the seniors’ safety amid the heat wave blanketing Kamloops and area.
Residents will need to register again, either online or by calling 250-828-3500 to confirm their attendance.
