NorthPaws dispatch Riverhawks, have won three of last four games
KAMLOOPS — After a dismal first half to the West Coast League baseball campaign, the Kamloops NorthPaws are showing signs of improvement.
The NorthPaws toppled the Edmonton Riverhawks 7-1 on Sunday (July 8) in the Alberta capital to claim their third win in four games and their sixth triumph in their last 10 outings.
Sawyer Jensen pitched a complete game to pick up the win for the Paws, allowing seven hits and one run over nine innings, while racking up five strikeouts.
TJ Watcher had a good day at the plate, recording two hits, three RBI and one run for the visitors, who endured a 14-game losing streak earlier this season.
