Rivers FC men score late winner to beat Unity FC 3-2; women fall 2-0
KAMLOOPS — Rivers FC’s men’s squad kept their 2024 League1 BC postseason hopes alive Saturday (July 6).
Kamloops’ men’s semi-pro soccer club defeated Unity FC from Surrey 3-2 at Hillside Stadium thanks to a match winning goal from Domenico Comita five minutes into stoppage time in the second half.
With the win, Rivers FC improves their record to three wins, one draw and six losses, good for 10 points in 10 matches. The men are four points behind Harbourside FC from Nanaimo for the fourth and final postseason spot.
On the women’s side, Rivers FC fell to Unity FC at Hillside Stadium Saturday 2-0. They fall to one win, three draws and six losses on the season, good for six points in 10 matches.
