SICAMOUS, B.C. — A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a woman in the Shuswap.

Sicamous RCMP say officers responded to a mobile home park at 1707 Hillier Road in Sicamous at around 4:48 a.m. Wednesday (June 19) for the report of an unresponsive woman in a driveway.

In a news release issued Thursday afternoon, RCMP say despite paramedics’ efforts, 66-year-old Jo Ann Jackson of Sicamous was declared dead at the scene. Police say they have identified Jackson to further the investigation.
