RCMP searching for suspect in armed robbery at Merritt convenience store

MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt RCMP are asking the public’s help to identify the suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store early Tuesday (June 4) morning.
In a news release, RCMP say a suspect entered the 7-Eleven at the corner of Nicola Avenue and Voght Street just before 2:00 a.m. and showed off a knife. Police say they made off with cash from the register.
The suspect is described as standing 5’7” and weighing 160 lbs with a skinny build. They were wearing a blue hoodie with an Indigenous headdress logo on it, blue jeans and a paintball mask.
