Kamloops RCMP arrest three, seize suspected meth and fentanyl during notable police presence on the North Shore
KAMLOOPS — Three suspects were arrested then released from custody following a notable police presence on the North Shore Tuesday (May 28) morning.
Kamloops RCMP say officers were told of three people in a pickup truck with what appeared to be a gun and body armour at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
In a news release issued Wednesday morning, Cpl. Crystal Evelyn states multiple officers found the truck on Yew Street where they carried out a “high-risk arrest of its occupants” due to the possible involvement of a gun.
RCMP say a school in the area was placed on a brief hold and secure during the response. While no weapons or body armour were found, police seized more than 22 grams of suspected meth and fentanyl as part of the investigation.
