KAMLOOPS β€” Two recent reports of a man chasing children in the park have Kamloops police turning to the public for more information.

The Kamloops RCMP detachment was contacted at about 5:50 p.m. on May 13 after a man allegedly came out of the bushes and taunted a group of children in Albert McGowan Park on Summit Drive before chasing them away on their bikes.

A similar report was received at about 6:20 p.m. on April 16 and in both occurrences the man appeared to be with a nearby female.

β€œThe Kamloops RCMP detachment is looking to speak with the man, the woman he was with or someone who may know him to discuss the report and help further the investigation,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP detachment spokesperson, said in a press release.

The man was described as a 40-to-50-year-old, balding, heavyset and white, with a pronounced lower lip. He was wearing a grey or black shirt and grey shorts.

The female was described as white with salt-and-pepper hair that was styled in a bun. She was wearing a coral shirt.
