Drugs, cash, BB gun seized, man arrested after shooting incident in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Shots fired from a BB gun led Kamloops RCMP to a significant bust last week.

In a blotter distributed to media Thursday (May 23), Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties were called to the 200-block of Victoria Street last Friday (May 17) at about 7:35 a.m. to respond to the shooting incident.

Upon arrival, police seized what appeared to be a black handgun. Later investigation determined it was, in fact, a BB gun.

Mounties also seized tools, drugs and cash, among other items.

A man was arrested and held in cells before his release with a court date and conditions.
