KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating an arson fire outside of a notorious North Shore home.

In a blotter sent to media Thursday (May 23), Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the fire took place last Sunday (May 19) morning.

Evelyn says Mounties were called to help Kamloops Fire Rescue crews who were dealing with a fire in a utility trailer containing household items. Investigators believe an incendiary device was thrown at the trailer, sparking the fire.

While it’s not known if this is the same address where a shooting took place earlier this month, that home in the 1200-block of 10th Street did have a utility trailer parked in front of it.

Evelyn says police believe there were two suspects. The first, a bearded man with light skin, was wearing a black hoodie and carrying a large, tan backpack. The second suspect, also a man with light skin, was wearing a plaid jacket with a dark hood over his head.

Anyone with further information on the incident is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file number 2024-14978.
