August 22, 1929 — May 7, 2024

Our family would like to share the passing of our Beautiful Mom and Nonna, Rosa Gagliano on May 7th, 2024 at her home at Pine Grove Care Centre in Kamloops.

We wish to thank all the caring staff and Dr. Howie for all their love and compassion, also the many hugs and kisses that were given to her from residents and staff. We appreciate your kindness and we will always be grateful she had the chance to enjoy her time there.

We will miss her dearly, son John and daughter in-law Renea, her two grandchildren Nick and Jay whom she adored. She will also be remembered by her friends and family here in Kamloops, Canada, US and Italy.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Nick and her brother Frank Montalbano, her mother Giovanna and father Salvatore, also her brothers and sisters in law and their families.

Rosa was born in Cianciana, Sicily and immigrated to Canada in 1959. She came to join her husband Nick and resided in Vancouver. They then moved to Kamloops in 1971 and spent their time enjoying life with her family.

She loved family get togethers and there was always something cooking at her house. Her neighbors, friends and family always enjoyed her fresh bread, delicious meals and she was always serving up endless meals and loads of love.

Rosa also had a huge garden with Italian vegetables and would proudly tend to them and create delicious soups and and made the most delicious dishes from whatever she had on hand. She could sew her own dresses and create something from nothing. Always caring and sharing everything she did. Her home was always filled with friends and family, we will always cherish those times together.

She shared stories of her life in Italy and then her home in Canada, she always kept in touch with everyone she knew. She loved her grandchildren Jay and Nick with all her heart, we are so lucky to have had the mom and Nonna that she was and a lifetime of memories. She kept her family and friends close to her heart at all times, we will miss her in so many ways.

Our family thanks all that knew her and shared good times with her and our family, you will always have a special place in our hearts.
