Car crash knocks out power to 500+ customers up North Thompson north of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A motor vehicle incident caused a power outage up the North Thompson corridor north of Kamloops Friday afternoon (Apr. 26).

According to BC Hydro, the power has been off for about 518 customers since 4:17 p.m.

The outage stretches from Heffley Creek north to McLure.

Crews are on site but there is no estimated time for a return to power as of 5:00 p.m. Friday.
