Trio of dirt bikes believed to be stolen recovered by Salmon Arm RCMP
SALMON ARM, B.C. — Three dirt bikes believed to be stolen were found in wooded areas and recovered by Salmon Arm RCMP.
RCMP say officers recovered one dirt bike on a trail near the end of Ninth Avenue NE in Salmon Arm on Sunday (April 21) and the other two in the same area on Thursday. In a news release issued Thursday, police note while the bikes are believed to be stolen, they were not reported prior to being found.
Salmon Arm RCMP encourages residents to have what they call a 9 p.m. routine. It includes removing all valuables from vehicles, locking vehicle doors, avoid storing anything of value outside, locking up outdoor buildings and primary residence doors and windows and turning on exterior lights and alarm systems.
Anyone who owns the dirt bikes can claim them with a detailed description within 90 days. Salmon Arm RCMP say they should reference file 2024-2477 and 2024-2401.
