Kamloops man arrested in Comox for alleged abduction of two teenagers
KAMLOOPS — A 33-year-old Kamloops man is charged with two counts of abduction of a person under the age of 16 after he was arrested in Comox on Tuesday (April 23).
In a news release issued Wednesday (April 24) morning, Kamloops RCMP say they began an investigation on Monday when officers were told of two youths who were allegedly taken without lawful authority or consent of their parent, guardian or person responsible for their care.
“As part of the investigation, Kamloops police officers initiated a multi-jurisdiction response with detachments across the province, and the youths were quickly and safely located,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson says.
Janos K. Juckiewicz remains in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
