Shuswap-North Okanagan Rail Trail development making progress
Development work on the Shuswap-North Okanagan Rail Trail has started for the 2024 season, according to a Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) press release.
Following the development of a two-kilometre pilot section in Enderby in 2023, construction of the rail trail in the CSRD is expected to begin soon.
Plans for 2024 also include work on a section in Armstrong.
The trail is designed to be more than 50 kilometres in length and mostly flat, traversing lakefront shoreline, forested hillside, rivers, streams, farmland and rural towns.
