April 1, 1936 – March 10, 2024 

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marni of Kamloops, B.C., sons, Daryl (Shannon) of Victoria, B.C. and Brent (Penny) of Prince George, B.C., 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. 

She was predeceased by her husband William. 

Doreen was raised on the farm in Sandy Lake, Manitoba, along with her sister Mary and 2 brothers, Eddie and Frank. Soon after graduating, Doreen met her husband, Bill Mintenko and they spent the next 15 years in the hotel business in Saskatchewan and B.C. After that, Doreen worked in the Lumber Industry as a purchasing agent for many years, a job she loved! During this time, they raised their 3 children. Doreen was a great cook, especially her Ukrainian meals. She also loved to dance, going many weekends with Bill to the Legion. Doreen and Bill’s retirement was spent in the sunny Okanangan. 

Doreen loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild and was involved in all their lives. 

May she rest in peace! 

There is no formal service by request. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Doreen.
