RCMP seize weapons, body armour, drugs
KAMLOOPS — Two traffic investigations this week in Kamloops resulted in weapons, body armour and illegal drug seizures, according to a Kamloops RCMP press release.
A Kamloops RCMP frontline officer was patrolling on Victoria Street at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday (March 19) and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a burnt headlight.
Further investigation revealed the driver was prohibited. As police were arresting the driver, a weapon was observed.
The search continued and revealed two firearms, paraphernalia conducive with drug trafficking and illegal drugs.
