Edmonstone makes 48 saves as Blazers fall to Thunderbirds 3-1

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers’ new 16-year-old goaltender had another outstanding effort in a loss Tuesday (March 19) night.

Zach Pantelakis redirected Vojtech Vochvest’s shot from the point to open the scoring, but the Blazers surrendered three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 loss on the road to the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Blazers goaltender Logan Edmonstone made 48 saves in his third Western Hockey League (WHL) start.

The Blazers fall to 20-40-3-3 on the 2023-24 WHL season, good for 46 points in 46 games. They remain at the bottom of the overall WHL standings and will not be in the playoffs.

The Blazers play their final home game of the season Friday (March 22) when they host the Prince George Cougars. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. from Sandman Centre.
