Temporary closure of Shuswap Outpatient Lab extended due to ongoing flood repairs

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A temporary closure of the Shuswap Outpatient Lab has been extended by three days.

In a news release issued Tuesday (March 5), Interior Health says lab services will remain unavailable from Wednesday to Friday at the Shuswap Outpatient Lab due to ongoing flood damage repair and restoration. The lab was closed Monday and Tuesday.

Patients with appointments will continue to contacted by Interior Health regarding their revised booking. Those patients with existing bookings, as well as walk-in patients, will be redirected to lab services at one of the following locations:

  • Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Enderby Community Health Centre Lab – 7:40 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Pleasant Valley Health Centre Lab, Armstrong – 7:40 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sicamous Health Centre Lab – 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Vernon Jubilee Hospital – 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
