Avalanche control work planned through Three Valley Gap; Highway 1 temporarily closed

SICAMOUS, B.C. — The Trans Canada Highway through the Three Valley Gap between Sicamous and Revelstoke will be temporarily closed Wednesday (March 6) morning.

DriveBC says the closure on the stretch of Highway 1 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. is due to avalanche control work being planned between Griffin Lake Avalanche Gate and Clanwilliam OH Bridge.

Drivers are being asked to watch for traffic control crews. A detour is not available.

Another update is due for 7:45 a.m.
