Two suspects arrested, three still outstanding following weekend assault in Lower Sahali
KAMLOOPS — Two suspects were arrested and three more were identified by police following a weapons assault investigation in Lower Sahali.
In a news release issued Thursday (Feb. 29), Kamloops RCMP say officers responded to the 700-block of Notre Dame Drive at around 2:25 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 25) where one man was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say one of five suspects reportedly involved in the assault, who was also on an unendorsed warrant, was quickly found and arrested. He was given a court date and conditions for the new assault investigation and held for court for the warrant but received a release order and new court date.
RCMP say a second person was arrested Tuesday while officers were responding to another report involving the same suspect.
