Mustard Seed Kamloops fundraising with Coldest Night of the Year walk
KAMLOOPS — The Mustard Seed Kamloops is hoping the community will show up and bundle up Saturday (Feb. 24) for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk.
The annual event raises money for the non-profit organization which provides shelter, meals and other services for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty.
“This is, for us, a chance to bring awareness to the fact that people who are living unhoused are struggling, particularly at this time of year,” explains Leanna Wereley, the Mustard Seed Kamloops communications and volunteer coordinator. “We want to remember them and we want to bring awareness and education to our community about what people experience at this time of year, and this is our way to support that and raise funds to go toward the programs and services that can help those who need it most.”
