Emergency department at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake to close overnight

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The emergency department at the largest hospital in the Cariboo will be closed overnight.
In a news release posted on its website, Interior Health says the emergency room at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake will close at 8:00 p.m. Monday (Feb. 12) due to limited physician availability.
It is expected to reopen at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. Inpatient services in the hospital will continue as normal.
Patients in need of emergency medical care are advised to visit either 100 Mile District General Hospital in 100 Mile House or GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel. Alternatively, they can still call 9-1-1.
