Two years later, police continuing investigation into murder of Sa-Hali Secondary Student
TK’EMLUPS — Police are still investigating the murder of a Sa-Hali Secondary School student, two years later.
In a news release issued Thursday (Feb. 1), the RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crime Unit is once again asking anyone with information or surveillance into the death of 18-year-old Jagraj Dhinsa to contact police at 1-877-987-8477.
“The murder of Jagraj Dhinsa was a senseless act of violence, and the investigation remains a priority,” RCMP state. “It is important to police that the person(s) responsible for his murder be held accountable and it is even more important for Mr. Dhinsa’s family to be provided with some semblance of closure so that they can begin to heal from the terrible ordeal.”
On Jan. 29, 2022, at around 8:00 a.m., the body of Dhinsa was found with obvious injuries at a parking lot off Chilcotin Road on the Tk’emlups Reserve.
