Lillooet River added to provincial flood warning list Tuesday
LILLOOET, B.C. — As another set of storms makes its way to the B.C. coast, the province is adding the Lillooet River to those under threat of flood.
In a bulletin issued Tuesday morning (Jan. 30), the B.C. River Forecast Centre (BCRFC) says the Lillooet River joins the Squamish and Cheakamus Rivers under flood warning.
Several other rivers on the South Coast and Vancouver Island are under either flood watch or high streamflow advisory.
The BCRVC says 300 millimetres of rain has fallen since last Friday, with the next round of rainfall expected to begin Tuesday night and last through the day Wednesday.
