After a one-day breather, more snow on the way for Kamloops region
KAMLOOPS — City plow crews were kept busy Wednesday (Jan. 17), with around 18 cm of snowfall hitting the city. Thursday’s break from the snow won’t last long however, as Environment Canada says more flakes are on the way.
If you live in the Kamloops area, you likely spent the morning digging out, after the area received a month’s worth of snowfall in one day.
“Cold temperatures and then add it with what is a fairly moist system coming off the Pacific. Actually for yesterday’s storm, it was the collision of two storms that really came together to create those widespread significant snowfall events,” explained Meteorologist Lisa Erven.
