Power out to more than 1,300 BC Hydro customers in east Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Thousands of BC Hydro customers are without power along the South Thompson River corridor in east Kamloops.

According to the utility’s website, the power was knocked out just after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 16).

The outage affects more than 1,300 customers in Valleyview, Dallas and Campbell Creek.

While the cause of the outage is under investigation, BC Hydro says a crew is on site and it’s estimated power will be restored by 4:30 p.m.
