Snowfall warnings blanket most of B.C., including Kamloops and area
KAMLOOPS — Snowfall warnings have been triggered for Kamloops and area and surrounding highways.
Environment Canada is forecasting around 10 to 20 centimetres of snow for the 100 Mile, Cariboo, Fraser Canyon (including Lillooet), Nicola, North and South Thompson and Shuswap regions from Tuesday (Jan. 16) until Wednesday evening.
Additionally, the weather agency is forecasting 15 to 20 centimetres of snow for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Kamloops and the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna from late Tuesday night until Wednesday evening.
The snowfall warnings come one day after Environment Canada warned of an arctic front that sweep across the province from north to south and bring periods of snow with it.
