KAMLOOPS — While it’s not the colour of medal that Kamloops has become accustomed to in recent years, thanks to Logan Stankoven and team Canada, a Kamloops Blazers player will be returning from the World Junior Championship with some hardware.
Defenseman Matteo Koci is celebrating a massive 8-5 come from behind victory with Czechia over Finland for a bronze medal.
Koci, who served as the seventh defenseman on team Czechia, finished the tournament without a point but as a plus 1.
Through 28 games with the Blazers, the defenceman has 1 goal and 6 assists.
