Meet King Ezekiel Sescon, the 2024 Royal Inland Hospital New Year’s baby

KAMLOOPS — It didn’t take long for the first baby of 2024 to arrive at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Interior Health says King Ezekiel Sescon was born at 1:34 a.m. New Year’s Day to Carlo Sescon and Irish Topdas of Williams Lake.

The baby boy weighed in at eight lbs 10 oz. Sescon and Topdas have had children in previous partnerships although King is their first child together.

B.C.’s first baby of 2024 was born at midnight in New Westminster, while Interior Health’s New Year’s Baby was born at 12:40 a.m. in Kelowna.
