Applications now open for Anti-Hate Community Support Grant

KAMLOOPS — The B.C. government has announced applications for the Anti-Hate Community Support Grant are now open throughout the province for community organizations that have experienced or are experiencing hate-motivated crimes.

In a release issued Tuesday (Nov. 28), the province mentioned the fund will be provided to places of worship, cultural community centres and other at-risk groups such as 2SLGBTQ+ organizations.

Applications are open from November 28, 2023, to March 31, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Up to $500,000 are available through the fund and organizations can receive as much as $10,000 per application. Communities with more than one location may submit up to three sites.
