Kamloops RCMP seek suspect in trio of vehicle thefts from Notre Dame Drive

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP would like your help solving a trio of vehicle thefts over the weekend.

In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were alerted to the thefts of three vehicles from a business in the 900-block of Notre Dame Drive, near an intersection with Laval Crescent, Monday morning (Oct. 16).

Evelyn says investigators believe the vehicles were taken one at a time on Sunday afternoon:

• 2021 Jeep Compass (blue)
• 2021 Jeep Wrangler (green)
• 2019 Dodge Ram Sport Rebel Crew Cab (silver)

The Ram pickup truck was recovered at about 2:00 p.m. Monday, in the alleyway between Fairview and Larch Avenues on the North Shore.

“Security video in the area captured an image of a man police believe to be a suspect in the ongoing investigation,” said Evelyn. “We are releasing his picture to the public with the hope that someone will recognize him and call the detachment to help further the investigation.”

Suspect description:

• White man
• Shaved head
• Trimmed beard
• Wearing black pants, white shoes and a black hoodie with white writing on the back shoulders

Anyone with information on the thefts, including possible sightings of Ram in the alley, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file number 2023-37360.
