Interior Health issues drug alert after rash of overdoses in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Interior Health is warning the public after a spate of overdoses in Williams Lake.

IH issued a drug alert Tuesday (Oct. 10), saying there have been numerous drug poisonings in Williams Lake in recent days, all due to the use of down or fentanyl.

The alert will remain in place for one week, until October 17.

IH advises people who use drugs to get their drugs checked and to never use alone.
