Two dead, four injured in helicopter crash near Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The Transportation Safety Board says two people are dead and four have been hurt in a helicopter crash east of Prince George, B.C.
The safety board says it is sending a team of investigators to the crash site where a Bell 206L helicopter went down near Purden Ski Hill, a mountain resort off Highway 16.
A statement from B.C. Emergency Health Services says paramedics responded in six ambulances around 8:00 a.m., treated and then transported the four injured people to the hospital.
Mounties in Prince George say the chopper went down near the Purden Ski Hill but details on the cause of the crash are still being investigated.
