EVACUATION ALERT

Evacuation orders for 14 properties in Sorrento downgraded to alert

KAMLOOPS — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) has lifted evacuation orders for 14 properties in Sorrento, the district announced Saturday (September 2).

Because the Bush Creek East Wildfire, the CSRD has put those properties on evacuation alert instead of an order until further notice.

Residents of those properties on Elson Road, South Shore Place, and Fredrickson Road may return home under the alert status.
