Kamloops RCMP asking the public for information on hit-and-run that sent one person to hospital
KAMLOOPS β Kamloops RCMP are looking to the public for information connected to a Friday (Aug. 25) afternoon hit-and-run that left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP say the incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Lansdowne Street. According to a police news release, a pedestrian was struck by a dark coloured Chevy Cruz. The driver of the car sped away after the collision.
βThe Cruz was located shortly after with a smashed windshield, abandoned in Riverside Park,β said RCMP Corporal Crystal Evelyn. The car had been reported stolen earlier in the week from a home on Yew Street.
The victim is expected to survive.
