KAMLOOPS – In response to the rising temperatures, the City of Kamloops has opened the concourse at Sandman Centre as a cooling centre.
The centre is going to act as a temporary relief from the heat, after Environment Canada announced that a heat wave is expected across much of B.C. starting today and officials are predicting temperatures as high as 38 degrees by Wednesday in Kamloops.
Conditions are expected to continue for much of the week.
