Ross Moore Lake fire size unchanged; crews make progress on containment
KAMLOOPS — B.C. Wildfire Service crews say the Ross Moore Lake wildfire south of Kamloops is still displaying subdued fire behaviour today.
In an update posted Wednesday afternoon (July 26), the service says the fire is burning at Rank 1 and 2, meaning a creeping ground fire.
Firefighters are mopping up hot spots on the northeast and southeast corners and building a containment line on the north and northwest borders.
Structural protection crews are focusing on Edith Lake Road and Long Lake Road, setting up equipment and patrolling through the night.
