Flair Airlines to discontinue Kamloops to Edmonton route in September

KAMLOOPS — Just over a month after the first direct flight from Edmonton to Kamloops took off, Flair Airlines is pulling the plug on the new route.

The first Kamloops to Edmonton flight was on June 18. The final flight will take place on September 6, signaling the end of the short lived option for travelers.

In a statement emailed to CFJC News on Tuesday (July 25) afternoon, Flair Airlines confirmed the cancellation.

“The demand between other cities exceeds that of Kamloops and Edmonton, unfortunately, despite our expectations and effort,” stated a Flair spokesperson.

The decision comes after a performance review by the airline on the new route.
