KAMLOOPS — A huge plume of smoke visible in Kamloops is coming from a blaze burning near Lac Le Jeune.
The B.C. Wildfire Service says the Ross Moore Lake wildfire, burning 24 kilometres south of Kamloops, was discovered early Friday afternoon (July 21).
As of mid-evening, the fire was measured at 90 hectares and burning out of control.
The wildfire service says personnel, a helicopter and air tankers are working to calm the fire’s behaviour.
