KAMLOOPS — Vintage cars from the Kamloops Street Rod Association and around the Interior will be on display Saturday (July 22). The Chrome on the Grass Car Show has been going for more than two decades.

Larry Wagner’s 1952 Ford Victoria will be one of hundreds on display at the car show on T’kemlups Powwow Grounds.

“Inside the powwow centre there will be a craft thing for the ladies and then the kids there will be lemonade stands and stuff like that to keep a little cool if you want,” Vice President of the Kamloops Street Rod Association Larry Wagner told CFJC Today. “There will be a food truck here, there will be several doing mini donuts and stuff like that.”

Each vintage car will pay a $20 entry fee, with proceeds going to the pediatric department at Royal Inland Hospital.

“They’ve very much supported our pediatric department,” Shanah Skjeie from the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation told CFJC Today. “They’ve been giving back since 1992 and have given over $50,000 and the majority has gone to support kids and our pediatric department. We will be in attendance with them this Saturday at the car show again being able to provide information about RIH Foundation and the lovely gifts they’ve given and show that support.”

The car show will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
