Kamloops RCMP patrols in Riverside Park result in arrest of wanted man

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP managed to corral a wanted man thanks to some proactive patrolling last weekend.

In a news release, spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties were conducting patrols in Riverside Park last Saturday afternoon (July 15) when they noticed a wanted man near First Avenue and Victoria Street.

“Officers attempted to arrest the man, who allegedly fled into the park, where police were able to catch up with him and quickly take him into custody,” said Evelyn.

Kyle Jordan Deline, 32, was remanded in custody to await his next court date.

Deline was wanted on unendorsed warrants for breach of release order, robbery and theft, among other alleged offences.
