KAMLOOPS — Air travelers in Kamloops and area will have a non-stop flight to Vancouver Island starting this fall.

In a news release issued Monday (July 17) morning, Pacific Coastal Airlines – the B.C. based regional airline – announced it’s launching a seasonal route between Kamloops and Victoria.

The Kamloops to Victoria route will operate from Sunday to Friday between Oct. 17, 2023 and April 26, 2024. The schedule is:

  • Victoria (YYJ) to Kamloops (YKA) – 3:40 p.m. departure and 4:40 p.m. arrival
  • Kamloops (YKA) to Victoria (YYJ) – 5:05 p.m. departure and 6:05 p.m. arrival

“Non-stop Kamloops to Victoria air service has long been our radar,” Ed Ratuski, Kamloops Airport managing director states. “Beyond the obvious efficiency and convenience for business travel to the provincial capital, this service is an excellent option for visiting friends and relatives that often face unpredictable road conditions and ferry service interruptions to Vancouver Island.”

Pacific Coastal Airlines’ website shows prices for one-way trips from Kamloops to Victoria for as low as $189.

Air service to Victoria is YKA’s second new route for 2023 after adding non-stop travel to Edmonton via Flair Airlines in June.
