Merritt-area MP Albas to co-chair all-party caucus focusing on the fight against cancer
OTTAWA — Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola MP Dan Albas is reaching across the aisle in an effort to fight cancer.
Albas is co-chairing a new caucus of MPs formed to “strengthen nationwide efforts to change the future of cancer care in Canada,” according to a news release.
“I know all too well the devastating impact that cancer care has on families as I have a family member who is suffering from breast cancer,” said Albas. “The strength that is required by my loved one inspires me every day. I am committed to making a difference too, so that we can one day be free of cancer.”
The new group says it will work with experts, cancer sufferers and health-care providers to “drive change on Parliament Hill.”
