MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt RCMP are asking the public’s help in identifying a truck involved in a hit-and-run.
In a news release, RCMP say a light blue, two-door Ford F150 was travelling north on Garcia Street and turned west onto Quilchena Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday (April 27). Police say the truck drove onto the sidewalk, struck a steel post and tore it out of the ground.
The truck briefly stopped, before fleeing west down Quilchena Avenue. It’s believed the truck sustained damage on the passenger side from hitting the post.
Anyone who recognizes the truck is asked to contact Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262.
