Truck stolen, vehicles damaged after reported break-in at Valleyview business
KAMLOOPS — A man from the south Similkameen Valley was charged with five offences after a reported break-in in Valleyview over the weekend.
In a news release issued Thursday (April 27), Kamloops RCMP say the 49-year-old man from Cawston broke into a business on the 1600-block of Valleyview Drive Saturday at around 7 a.m.
Police say a truck was stolen from the business and other vehicles were damaged. Over an hour later at around 8:15 a.m., RCMP say the same truck was on Hillside Drive, travelling on one rim and appeared to have a bullet hole in the window.
Police say they eventually found the truck in a parking lot on the 2000-block of Lac Le Jeune Road and took the man into custody.
