In anticipation of warm temperatures, province issues high streamflow advisory for Interior
KAMLOOPS — With the temperatures expected to spike for the end of the week, the B.C. River Forecast Centre has issued a high streamflow advisory for much of the B.C. Interior.
The advisory, issued Wednesday afternoon (April 26), covers the Southern Interior plateau, including the Lower Thompson, Salmon River and Okanagan watersheds. It also includes the Upper Fraser and Middle Fraser plateaus to the north.
Above-normal temperatures are the impetus for the advisory. The province says temperatures are forecast to hit at least 10 degrees Celsius above normal by Saturday.
