Kamloops Farmers Market returns Saturday

KAMLOOPS – Saturday (Apr. 22) marks the first Kamloops Farmers’ Market of the season.

From 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., down at the Stuart Wood schoolyard and along St. Paul Street, vendors and farmers will be back, selling their goods.

New to this year’s market, the Kamloops Cycling Coalition will be providing a bike valet for those making their way down by pedal.

Although some farmers won’t be attending due to the slow start to spring, Kamloops Farmers Market Manager Greg Unger says there will still be plenty to do in honour of Earth Day.

“To celebrate Earth Day, April 22, we’re partnering with a bunch of local non-profits and the City of Kamloops and we’re going to be kicking off the season with a bunch of cool stuff,” Unger said.

The first Wednesday market will be held on May 3 in the 400-block of Victoria Street.
