Blazers forward Seminoff signs NHL entry-level deal with Dallas Stars
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers had their fifth player from their 2022-23 team sign a professional hockey contract Wednesday (March 29).
In a news release, the Dallas Stars announced they signed Blazers forward Matthew Seminoff to a three-year NHL entry-level deal. The Stars originally selected the 2003-born forward 179th overall in the sixth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Seminoff was third in Blazers scoring during the 2022-23 Western Hockey League (WHL) season with 82 points (31 goals and 51 assists) in 62 games. He joins fellow Blazers teammate Logan Stankoven in the Stars organization.
Along with Seminoff, the Blazers have seen forward Caedan Bankier and defenceman Kyle Masters sign their NHL entry level deals with the Minnesota Wild, center Ryan Hofer sign with the Washington Capitals and center Fraser Minten sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2022-23 WHL season.
