Tolko announces temporary shift cuts at Heffley Creek plant
KAMLOOPS — Tolko Industries is confirming temporary shift reductions at its Heffley Creek plant in Kamloops.
In an email to CFJC Today, Director of People and Services Brett VanderHoek says the graveyard lathe and weekend drying shifts will be cut as of the first week of April.
VanderHoek says the company is attempting to redeploy the employees who would normally be working on those shifts.
According to the company’s website, the Heffley Creek plant employs 250 people, producing veneer and plywood.
